Part 2: The power of Telematics for fleet reporting

Telematics tracking reports

These reports are often used by Fleet Managers to stay in touch with every aspect of their fleet. These reports include:

  • Overtime
  • Early start
  • Late start
  • Weekend work
  • Driver’s licence expiry dates
  • Stops the vehicle makes
  • Service reminder
  • Current location
  • Movement of vehicle
  • Zone 2 Zone
  • Last six-month scores

Telematics is a smart reporting system. Fleet Managers choose the reports that they want to receive. They can conduct a detailed search and choose the parameters.

For example, the Zone 2 Zone report can provide Fleet Managers with information about the date and time a vehicle was in a zone, and if it was there several times, how often it was there. The report will inform the Fleet Manager of the vehicle group, the registration, driver, the start of the journey, the time when a vehicle entered and exited the zone, the number of stops, drive time, idling time, stop time and distance travelled.

To ensure that the information is not overwhelming for our customers, Avis Fleet built fleet reporting around exception management. Customers can set parameters and see the exceptions so they don't have to analyse every line. For example, the At Work report will not record data that occurs before 8am, but if it's after that time, it will highlight the activities to show if employees are not adhering to company rules.
