Parking is one of the biggest problems that all drivers face – and it’s actually getting worse in cities where traffic is heavier than ever. Fortunately, some clever person has come up with an app to make finding parking spaces a lot easier.
According to the website, Streetline.com, “Streetline leverages machine-learning technology to deliver real-time parking availability and parking demand data accurately and reliably, on-and-off street, in demarcated and undemarcated zones, and within metered and unmetered areas using a technology-agnostic platform.”
Streetline says it has already saved users of its “Parker” app thousands of hours, not to mention millions of litres in fuel and, ultimately, a lot of money.
And it’s not just about parking availability, its service can also inform users about parking and pavement policy that might involve issues regarding pricing, restrictions, shared-ride access, electric charging and biking stations, among others. It provides parking demand analytics so users can get the best out of utilisation taking into consideration the time of day, holidays or other special events. And there are more general benefits in terms of traffic management and congestion.
Streetline is headquartered in California’s Silicon Valley and has a footprint in North America and Europe.
