Nelson Mandela Day: a living legacy
Every year on Mandela’s birthday, 18 July, we celebrate the memory of this great leader. Nelson Mandela Day was launched in 2009 after a unanimous decision by the UN General Assembly. On this day, people try to change the world for the better, just as Mandela did, by dedicating 67 minutes of service to people and institutions in need.
“It is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it.” Nelson Mandela
How to get involved
